How to Install an Internal CD-Drive in Computer
- To install CD-RW first shutting down your computer and unplugging it and Remove the outer cover from your computer.
- Set your CD-RW to the "slave or Master" position by placing the jumper pin in the correct position then Slide your CD-RW into an available drive panel on your computer.
Start on your way to creating your very own audio CDs, as well as Cds containing pictures and other data.
- Connect the 40-pin IDE cable to the rear of your CD-RW. Make sure that side of the cable with the thin colored line is connected to the right side of your CD-RW. Also, be sure NOT to use the same IDE cable to connect your CD-RW as your hard drive is connected to, this could result in severe complications with your computer.
- Finally, connect your power cable to the rear of your CD-RW.
- Replace the cover of your computer and startup your computer.
- Install any software required software.
