COMPUTER TIPS
If you often browse or modify networking options on your Windows 2000 machine, you may want to provide an easier way to access such options from the "Start" menu.
Right-click on an empty area of your taskbar and choose "Properties". On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, click the "Advanced" tab. Now, under "Start Menu Settings", check "Expand Network and Dial-Up Connections" and click "OK".
Now, to get to your network settings for any device, click "Start" -> "Settings" -> "Network and Dial-Up Connections". Your networking settings will appear in a popup menu, rather than in a separate window.
