How would you
insert a predefined function?
Excel also provides a facility to insert a specific
predefined function from a list of functions available in paste Function
dialog box. To insert a predefined function using paste Function dialog
box, follow these steps.

Select the cell in which you want to insert a function.

Enter an equal sign (=).

Select Function command from Insert menu OR
Click the paste Function icon on the Standard Toolbar, Paste
Function dialog box will appear.

Select the function category you want from the Function
Category list box and then select the required function from the
Function name list box.

Click OK button of paste Function dialog box, will
appear for function arguments.

Give argument or arguments of the function and click OK
button and then press Enter key.
