By editing the Windows registry, you can reinstall the
Internet Explore without any error. Your computer will not
allow you to reinstall the Internet Explorer over the
existing installation, but if you try your computer will
prompt an error message “Setup has detected a newer version
of Internet Explorer already installed on this computer.
Setup cannot continue.” By editing the Windows registry
keys, you can install the Internet Explorer without any
error. But always export or backup the whole Windows
registry keys on backup drive before editing. Because any
mistake in Registry can cause serious problem in your
computer to run properly.
Follow the given steps to reinstall the Internet Explorer
setup.

First click on Start button then type Regedit
in Run option.

Here locate the location to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active
Setup\Installed
Components\{89820200-ECBD-11cf-8B85-00AA005B4383}

Here in right side panel, double click on
IsInstalled and change its value data from 1 to 0.

Close the registry editor and restart your computer
after any changes to go into effect.

Now after rebooting your computer, run the Internet
Explorer fresh setup.
